La'mosatsinga, Møllenberg satsinga, Karl-Ove Bjørnstad Eiendom AS, Trondheim Public Library (Buran), and Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival invite you to a free outdoor screening of Ask & Ylva – The Incredible Journey of the Snow Foxes on Saturday, December 18., at 5:30 PM, in Buranbanen Activity Park.

We’ll provide 200 chairs, Buran library will be serving something warm to drink, and everyone is welcome!

The event is free and requires no registration, but feel free to RSVP on the Facebook event.

The film starts at 5:30 PM and runs for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Remember to dress warmly and bring a blanket!

About the movie:

Ask and Ylva, charmingly "played" by two Arctic foxes (or polar foxes, as they’re properly called), are ready to start a family far north in Yukon, Canada. As temperatures rise and food becomes scarcer, Ask is forced to wander farther out onto the pack ice in search of sustenance. Suddenly, the ice cracks, and the two foxes are separated by the freezing ocean! Now, they must navigate countless dangers and explore unknown territories to reunite.

This heartwarming story, paired with breathtaking visuals, highlights the impacts of global warming while celebrating friendship, adventure, and courage. What makes this film truly unique is that it’s not a documentary, but a fictional tale starring real animals in the leading roles.

Tips to stay warm at an outdoor cinema


Film screenings under the open sky offer a unique and magical experience, but it’s essential to take a few precautions to ensure you stay comfortable and warm:

  • Check the weather forecast and dress accordingly. Keep in mind that sitting still can feel cooler, so bring an extra layer just in case.
  • Bring something to sit on for insulation, like a blanket or a seat pad, to keep warm from underneath.
  • If it’s particularly cold, consider bringing a sleeping bag to wrap around your legs for added coziness.
  • Walk or take public transport, as there are no parking spaces near the outdoor cinema.
  • The nearest bus stop is Buran.
  • We will be serving something warm to drink at the event, feel free to bring your own reusable cup as it's more environmentally friendly!
