Opening movie at Kosmorama 2025 - Onkel Jens

Kosmorama – Trondheim International Film Festival is proud to present the dramedy My Uncle Jens as the opening film for the 21st edition of the festival.

My Uncle Jens follows Norwegian teacher Akam, who is forced to confront his cultural roots when he takes in his uncle Jens, who shows up unexpectedly. The film explores themes of second-generation immigration, culture clashes, and love.

The film will have its world premiere at South by Southwest (SXSW) in March before making its Norwegian debut on Kosmorama’s opening day. Director Brwa Vahabpour, who grew up in Trondheim, considers it an honor to premiere the film at the festival.

Age limit: 9 years.
