Mandagsfilmen: Wicked Little Letters

When the people of the small village of Littlehampton - including the conservative Edith - start receiving letters full of very foul language, the foul-mouthed Irish immigrant, Rosie, is accused of being the mastermind behind the misdeed. The investigation escalates when the village women suspect that something is amiss and take matters into their own hands.

Set in an English coastal town in the 1920s, this wild comedy-mystery film unfolds a dark and absurd scandal based on a true story. Wicked Little Letters follows two neighbors, deeply conservative local Edith Swan (OLIVIA COLMAN) and the rowdy Irish migrant Rose Gooding (JESSIE BUCKLEY). As Edith and other residents start receiving dreadful letters full of profanity, Rose is targeted for the crime. The anonymous letters spark a national uproar, and a trial ensues as the town's women, led by police officer Gladys Moss (ANJANA VASAN), begin to investigate the crime themselves, suspecting that something is amiss and that Rose may not be the guilty party after all.
