Mandagsfilmen: Challengers

Challengers is the new film from visionary filmmaker Luca Guadagnino, starring superstar Zendaya in the lead role as Tashi Duncan, a former tennis pro who is just as uncompromising off the court as she was on it. She's married to a champion player (Mike Faist) who suddenly struggles to win matches, but when Tashi tries to turn adversity into opportunity, they encounter the washed-up Patrick (Josh O'Connor) - who is her ex and her husband's former best friend. As past meets present, and tension reaches its peak, Tashi must figure out what it will take to bring home the victory.

Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name), Oscar and Bafta-nominated, directs Challengers from a screenplay by Justin Kuritzkes. The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Guadagnino himself, Zendaya, and Rachel O'Connor, with Bernard Bellew serving as executive producer.

Golden Globe and Emmy winner Zendaya (Dune films, Euphoria) stars alongside Golden Globe winner Josh O'Connor (The Crown) and Bafta-nominee Mike Faist (West Side Story).

Guadagnino's creative team includes his frequent collaborators Sayonbhu Mukdeeprom (cinematography), Merissa Lombardo (production design), and Marco Costa (editing), along with Jonathan Anderson (costume design). The music is by the Oscar-winning duo Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross ("The Social Network").
