The Biggest Little Farm chronicles the eight-year-long quest of John and Molly Chester as they trade city living for 200 acres of barren farmland. To fulfil the dream of sustainable farm life in harmony with nature, they learn as much as possible about agriculture and biology. Together with mentor Alan York, they transform the barren land into a bountiful farm with fruit trees and 850 animals. They’re driven by the vision that nature has a solution for everything as long as one facilitates for it – even when problems amount and nature proves stronger than man, after all. The documentary portrays a powerful meeting between humans, animals and the incredible diversity nature has to offer when you live close to it.

Elin and Carl Erik S. Östlund from Skjølberg Farm will introduce the screening. They'll talk about what motivates them as farmers and their efforts to create new relations between animals and plants. They'll also bring samples from their own productions to share with the audience.
