The Kanon Awards are the Norwegian film industry’s award ceremony, where the best of the passing year in cinema is celebrated. Members of the industry’s unions vote for their peers in ten different categories:

Director, producer, script, cinematography, editing, sound design, production design, female lead, male lead and supporting actor.

The Kanon Awards are held annually during Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival. The film year of 2018 was honoured on Thursday 7th March 2019.

Kanonprisen deles ut årlig under Kosmorama. Kanonprisen for filmåret 2018 ble delt ut torsdag 7. mars 2019.
