THE FABELMANS is a deeply personal film for Steven Spielberg, heavily inspired by his own childhood and upbringing. The film was written by Spielberg together with Pulitzer Prize winner Tony Kushner, who is previously Oscar-nominated for Spielberg's LINCOLN and MUNICH.
The film has been nominated for a total of 7 Oscars, including best film and best director.
