Opening film – Kosmorama 2019!

 


We are proud to present that the opening film of this years festival is Out Stealing Horses! The film is in Norwegian with Norwegian subtitles.

From director Hans Petter Moland (A Somewhat Gentle Man, In Order of Disappearance) comes the long anticipated adaptation of one of the most successful Norwegian books in recent time, Per Pettersons international breakthrough «Out Stealing Horses»!

The film will have its Norwegian premiere at Kosmorama, Tuesday the 5th of March at Prinsen Cinema Center.  Buy your tickets now!

About the movie:

November 1999. 67-year-old Trond lives in new-found solitude and looks forward to spending New Year’s Eve 2000 alone. As winter arrives he discovers he has a neighbor, a man Trond knew back in 1948, the summer he turned 15 and the summer Trond’s father prepared him to carry the burden of his forthcoming betrayal and disappearance. . And also the summer Trond grew up and smelled the scent of a woman he longed for. The same woman Trond’s father was preparing to spend his life with.

Out Stealing Horses is based on Per Pettersons international bestseller from 2003. The book has won a number of international literature awards and has been translated to over 50 languages.

Among the actors in the movie are names as Stellan Skarsgård, bjørn Floberg, Tobias Santelmann, Jon Ranes, Pål Sverre Hagen og Danica Curcic. Watch the trailer here!
