Ramaskrik – our horror section

Kosmorama has always included a handful of scary movies, and in 2010 this concept was given a name; “Ramaskrik”. But even though the focus is on horror and terror we also include cool exploitation films, thrillers and horror films that are more funny rather than scary… Everyone can find something they like here.

This year we have seven films on the program, two of them from directors with a connection to veterans in our favorite genre: CHAINED from Jennifer Chambers Lynch (Daughter of David Lynch) and ANTIVIRAL, which is Brandon Cronenberg’s (David Cronenberg’s son) debut film. STITCHES is clown horror with comedian Ross Noble as the lead, BRING ME THE HEAD OF THE MACHINE GUN WOMAN is sexy exploitation from Chile, STOKER is Chan-wook Park’s latest film with big names as Mia Wasikowska and Nicole Kidman and DEAD SUSHI is a crazy splatter comedy from Japanese Noburo Iguchi. In addition to these films, we also look back in time, with the original, long version of Stanley Kubrick’s THE SHINING.

Ramaskrik Oppdal was arranged for the first time in the autumn of 2011, with horror films for three straight days, and we will continue to scare people both autumn and spring.
